Introducing New Members of the Board!
Montreal — Les 2 Mondes, the renowned theatre company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Christian Ruel as Chair of its Board of Directors. Mr. Ruel, who has served as Interim Chair since December 2024, succeeds Ms. Mélanie Jolin, who led the board since 2021.
We wish to express our deepest gratitude to Ms. Jolin for her commitment and significant contribution to the development and influence of the company over the past several years.
Christian Ruel has held senior executive positions for many years, notably in the financial sector. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at Les Commissionnaires du Québec. With extensive experience in governance and a proven track record of leadership, he brings his expertise and strategic vision to help Les 2 Mondes pursue its mission: to create, produce, and present contemporary theatrical works that explore human, social, and political issues with boldness and poetry. His appointment marks a new milestone in the company’s journey, as it continues to expand its artistic development while strengthening its presence within both the Quebec and international cultural landscapes.
Les 2 Mondes is also pleased to welcome Hélène Caron as a new board member. A management and strategy consultant specializing in creative environments at Diapason, Hélène supports leaders in the strategic and operational development of their organizations. With her strong expertise in the cultural sector, she will provide valuable guidance in strategic planning, process optimization, and the continued strengthening of our identity within the cultural landscape.
Les 2 Mondes also welcomes Nancy Mancini, Director of Communications at Provencher Roy, to its Board of Directors. With her impressive background in communications and marketing, Nancy brings key skills at a pivotal time as the company seeks to expand its visibility and strengthen its reputation in an ever-evolving cultural environment. Her insightful perspective will help highlight the diversity of the organization’s activities and support its positioning efforts with audiences and partners alike.
